I never imagined that one day I’d be called a Project Lead Developer.
Not because I didn’t believe in growth but because I didn’t always see myself diving into tech fully.
My journey started somewhere completely different: Customer Support.
A story of Grit, and Grace for those redefining their career path.
I spent years resolving issues, calming angry voices, and documenting recurring problems — always working hard to give customers a better experience.
And I was very good at it.
But deep inside, I felt pulled toward something more.
I didn’t just want to fix problems after they happened, I wanted to build the systems that prevented them in the first place.
I already had a degree in Computer Science, but I hadn’t explored coding in depth. Still, I was curious.
That curiosity became a quiet fire pushing me to self-train, take courses, watch videos, and spend evenings learning things I once found intimidating.
I started doing small freelance gigs online while building confidence one mini-project at a time.
Tech became my second life, something I pursued quietly after work hours, driven by determination and lots of support from my loved ones.
Then came the big step: resigning from my stable role to take on a full-time tech opportunity.
Was it scary? Absolutely.
But I knew I was ready.
The interviews were intense. I had to face algorithms, whiteboard challenges, and technical questions that made me second guess myself sometimes. But I kept showing up. I kept improving.
And then it happened.
I landed a role. Then another. And today, I am a Project Lead Developer.
Today, I lead. I code. I mentor.
And now, I share.
Why I Started IfyCodes.com
This space isn’t just about code. It’s about growth.
It’s for people who are trying to break into tech,
Those who are switching careers after years in something else
Those who are building, parenting, and evolving all at once.
I’ll share stories from my journey, tips from the field, and lessons I’ve learned not just as a developer, but as a woman, a mom, a wife, and a believer in second chances.
If that speaks to you, then welcome.
You’re in the right place.
Let’s grow together.
